Ella: “I have a deep hole on my inside and it’s making me achey and sad.”
What I’m Thinking: Jesus H. Christ, she’s depressed! Oh my God!
Me: “Why are you so sad, honey?”
Ella: “Because you won’t push me on the rope swing.”
Me: “Do you need to be so melodramatic?”
Ella: “Yes.”
Me: “Do you know what melodramatic means?”
Ella: “No.”
- She gets a certain look in her eye when she’s about to make one of her comments.
